Vintage African Ashanti Stool With Gye Nyameme Symbol

This beautiful stool was purchased at an estate sale in Washington D.C. The previous owner was a serious collector of African items and this was one of his most cherished pieces. This is a vintage hand carved wooden African stool collectors item which was made from a single piece of wood by the Ashanti people of Ghana, Africa. Could be used as a stool, foot rest, small table or display piece. Features the Adinkra symbol “Gye Nyame” which means God is Superior over all others on front and back. The top and sides are carved in a beautiful geometric design. A beautiful statment piece for any decor. Can be used as additional seating, a low side table or to hold a beautiful plant. Simply amazing!!
