This vase was made of African mahogany. The wood is a medium brown with darker brown streaks running through it. It grows in tropical west Africa. It was carved by hand using simple wood carving tools. It is a beautiful swirl pattern and looks like the roots of a tree. Heavy and will make a great statement piece for any decor
